About

I am an experienced marketing leader who blends data with creativity to bring brands and their stories to life. I leverage the power of content to cut through clutter, penetrate new markets and expand brand awareness while also positioning a brand’s most powerful asset—its people—as experts in their respective knowledge areas. Whether it’s ad copy for a campaign, new sales collateral or a white paper, I collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure the best story is center stage.

Throughout my career, I've worked with C-level executives to craft key messages, talking points, speeches and presentations for media, industry events and company-wide summits, some of which had over a thousand
attendees.

I am naturally curious and wired to dig deep, seeking to understand every aspect of the business, the solutions and the industry in which I work. I lead with my values and am committed to the success of my team and my peers. I pride myself on being transparent, vulnerable and authentic, and I'm never afraid to ask for help if needed or to admit that I don’t have all of the answers—but will happily work to figure it out.

What’s the best life lesson you’ve learned?

1. Be yourself; everyone else is taken. Authenticity is something I value and over time, I've learned to embrace my quirks and individuality, and I proudly teach my children to do the same. 2. There's never a good time to do anything. So, take the chance, learn from your mistakes and always move forward. 3. You can *literally* choose to be happy. It takes patience and practice, and some days are harder than others, but it's a mindset that you can control. Once there, it's amazing to see the impact it can have on others while also shaping a more positive, open and inclusive environment.

How do you spend your free time?

We enjoy hosting family and friends, especially for Chiefs games and holiday gatherings, and I love to cook for a crowd (Mexican food is my speciality). My husband - Richard - makes sure our family is always having fun or doing some sort of activity, which includes indulging in one of his favorite hobbies - buying candles (seriously, he's a self-proclaimed candle connoisseur, and life smells good). We have two little kids - Ricky (7) and Pearl (3) - and when we aren't at the pool, the park or outside playing, we can be found snuggling on the couch for movie and pizza night with our 90 pound pit bull, Nancy.
