A very humbling Mission Trip to Jamaica in my teens with a youth group. The impoverished people and town we served and built "homes" in were more appreciative and thankful for stale bread sandwiches and 10x10 huts that we helped them build than anything I've ever seen before. Coming from the States, where all I had ever known is excess and abundance, these people with literally nothing to their name seemed to have everything they needed to live a happy life! This was an eye-opening experience for me that to this day serves as a reminder to never value things or possessions over life itself and each other!
